A Verification of Competency (VOC) is an assessment of a student’s operating abilities and knowledge on a specific machine. A VOC is generally required to begin operating on-site, and is completed on site-specific machines.

To get a VOC done, the student must have already successfully completed the course and received their Statement of Attainment. A VOC cannot be used in lieu of a ticket/licence (unless operating on a mine site).
